First time having therapy

Additionally, she includes some body and breath work in the sessions which makes me connect with my emotions on a deeper level, beyond thoughts and words.
After having had a very bad experience with another therapist, it took me some time to trust, but Laura managed to work through that with a lot of compassion.
Not only that, but, so far, the number of sessions I have had with her is a fraction of those that I had with the other therapist but we have already made way more progress, due to Laura‘s high empathy, her experience and high competence regarding trauma and her ability to see my situation for what it is.
For the very first time, I feel that my trauma and all the abuse I have gone through as well as the impact they have had on me are seen, that finally, my experiences are validated and that I am not gaslit anymore.
That is why I am confident that, taking it from this point, we can continue working effectively on my issues and that I‘ll finally be equipped with the tools that I need in order to protect myself.“
Reduced anxiety
“I came to Laura for multiple sessions so she could help me to overcome my anxious attachment style in dating. I was really struggling with a lot of over-thinking and feeling unsafe in my relationships. Laura took me through specialised exercises and coaching to change my mindset and build my confidence back up. I’m happy to see that there have been noticeable improvements in my mental health with less anxiety overall, thanks to our sessions. She’s an excellent psychologist who’s easy to talk to, so I would absolutely recommend her.”
